Anectodes

Struggle always comes to those who don’t deserve it. Sarah always worked with all her might to get the job of CEO. She has been in the business for 10 years, and still looked down upon by her male coworkers. Jim has been here 5 years and on a higher position than her. When he dumps all his work on her, for “practice”. Sarah has faced opposition and failed relationships due to her drive of getting the executive position.

11 years now, and she still hasn’t got it.

Struggle always comes to those who don’t deserve it.

Destruction always comes to those who don’t deserve it. Manny was young, talented, and kind. People said he had the whole world laid out in front of him. But he was poor. Not a penny to his name. His parents can barely scrape enough money to pay the bills or feed themselves. Then the hurricane came. They were too poor to have a solid foundation, so everything turned into rubbish. Not a piece of wood was left unscathed. Manny knew they couldn’t stay in his Tia’s house forever.

He wanted to go to college. Plans changed.

Destruction always comes to those who don’t deserve it.

Loss always comes to those who don’t deserve it. Jinae had a single mother. One who worked her butt off everyday to provide for just the 2 of them. 3 jobs and no social life, so they wouldn’t have to live off food stamps like Uncle Bill. Jinae’s parents got divorced. He was  a drunk who got violent, so it was well deserved. But Jinae sees how lonely her mother is and how she cries herself to sleep some nights. But that all changed one day. They say it was a car accident. She doesn’t care what did it.

Jinae was alone.

Loss always comes to those who don’t deserve it.

Prompt I responded to: Struggle
