Liar

Perspiration coats my upper lip.

I hear my heart pumping in my ears.

My mouth is rapidly moving without my brain catching up.

My mouth and brain are racing against time, and my mouth is reigned champion.

The muscles inhabiting my body are slack and stone still.

The keratin in my nails are itching to be bitten.

My body is reacting to one of my greatest fears.

I’m lying.
